Questions

Common questions

Who reviews your BJJ footage, whether training rolls and beginners are welcome, languages, privacy and how payment works.

Who reviews the footage?

Matstories assigns a coach to review your footage. You receive video feedback on important moments and a written summary in English. Contact us if you have questions about the reviewing coaches before you buy.

Can I upload training footage?

Yes. Send a competition match or a training roll, up to 20 minutes.

Can beginners use the service?

Yes. Send the footage you have, from a competition or from training.

Do I need to compete in Australia?

No. The review is of the video you upload. The event does not have to be in Australia, and you do not need a Matstories competition record.

Can parents submit children's matches?

Yes. A parent or guardian can buy the review and upload the child's match, if they have permission to share the footage with the coach. The video stays in the Matstories account.

What languages are supported?

This website is in English. The coach's video feedback and the written summary are in English.

How long does feedback take?

Matstories has not published a delivery time. A coach prepares the review after you upload. Matstories emails you when the feedback is ready.

Is my footage private?

The video is private by default. It stays in the Matstories account. The coach who takes the review can watch it to do the work. Anyone else needs access the account holder grants inside Matstories. A public competition page does not publish the video.

How does payment work?

This website does not take payment. The button opens Matstories, where you sign in and confirm the price before you pay. One review is AUD $25, charged once. It does not start a subscription.
